The Marketing, Sales and Public Relations Department of the is currently recruiting several interns to work with and be trained by ****, Sales Director. Interns will gain valuable experience in this dynamic non- profit setting and will have the opportunity to work on various projects linked to the Castillo Theater, the vibrant home of cutting- edge improvisational, social, political, and avant-garde theater. A long –time center of performance activism, the Castillo Theater brings together people of all ages and backgrounds and showcases the work of playwrights from Germany and Martinique as well as Bed- Stuy and the Bronx.

The ******* is a non- partisan, non- profit organization that has had tremendous success in using its innovative performance- based model to create outside of school, educational and performing arts activities for thousands of inner city youth.  It sponsors community and experimental theatre, develops leadership training and pursues volunteer initiatives that build and strengthen communities.

Responsibilitiesinclude: send out press releases, invite the press for shows, database up-keep and entry, sales calls to theater patrons, research to establish new networks, compile lists of PR outlets/publications

Intern will work on various projects related to the broadcast media field. Some examples of the internship duties would be: media research and updating database, newsletter writing, evaluation submitted media for public broadcast, and other various clerical duties. Applicant must be proficient in Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel. They must also be comfortable writing in english. Furthermore, it is a plus if the applicant be fluent in a second language, other than english. Interns will be needed from anywhere to 15-20 hours per week, for at least three months, or the length of the school semester. Long term positions may be available for qualified interns.
