Training will be focused on front and back of house operations in the food and beverage department, guest services, learning the lodge's culture of service and standards. The intern/trainee will also be involved in  activities to develop guest service skills, with the majority of training spent interacting and serving guests, engaging in management training of food and beverage operations, cross training with other supervisors/managers within the food and beverage division and other areas of the lodge.

This position will be responsible for total guest satisfaction from pre-arrival contact, logistics in the bookings and reconfirmation of guests' reservations, fully acquainted with local points of interests, and coordination of guests' parcels, mail and special deliveries.  This position will communicate with guests and employees both verbally and in writing to answer questions, and provide clear direction in advising and instructing staff in resort details with a focus on luxury service

The Office of the President is currently recruiting interns who are studying business, non-profit management, or liberal arts. 

The ******* is a non- partisan non- profit organization that has had tremendous success in using its innovative performance- based model to create outside of school, educational and performing arts activities for thousands of inner city youth.  It sponsors community and experimental theatre, develops leadership training and pursues volunteer initiatives that build and strengthen communities.

Gabrielle L. Kurlander has served as president and chief executive officer of the *****, Inc. since 1990. During Ms. Kurlander's tenure, the ASP's annual budget has grown from $200,000 to $7 million, entirely from private funding sources. Today, the ASP serves as a new national model for inner-city youth development, operating in New York City, Newark, Chicago and the San Francisco Bay Area and inspiring programs in several other US cities and throughout the world.

Responsibilities include: track the president's written correspondence, produce Board of Directors' meetings, organize special event, maintain large donor databases/files, answer president's telephone line, and administrative duties.

Assist the President of the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce in all different types of duties:  database entry, marketing, meeting and event planning, business support, international business exposure, management of large, 20-block street fairs, phone work, mailings, etc. to help MCC members and to recruit new members.  Intern will also accompany the President in attending meetings all over NYC.  Interns gain exposure to New York City, New York State and US government issues through these meetings as well as to business issues.  These meetings present a unique opportunity for interns.  No salary is offered but a $50.00 weekly stipend is provided to interns for transportation and lunch. Hours: 9-5, Monday-Friday, some morning and evening events

Position Title: Environmental Advocacy and Organizing

  As a part of its community service, ******** cooperates with other non-profit organizations to influence SW Florida various environmental policies, in order to bring positive changes to related issues. Advocating new, environment friendly approaches is a challenging task, as needed long term political decisions often don't match short term vision of decision makers.
We are seeking motivated students, ready to take on these challenges and willing to help with implementing improvements to current (often insufficient) policies. Applicants will have an opportunity to assist during all stages of our ambitious plans and therefore enhance their knowledge in environmental issues, lobbying strategies, law procedures and water management policies.
