Position Title: Field Data Collection and Instrument System Maintenance
Investigation of water quality degradation issues, as a consequence of unsustainable methods in regional agricultural production, is an objective of southwest Florida based research projects related to this assignment.
This training includes serving as a field, lab and office assistant responsible for extensive networks of flow, water quality and weather monitoring stations, theirs maintenance and further improvements.
In wider perspectives, this is an effort to collect scientific data to support planning methods for meeting new, long-term water quality goals. We are therefore seeking strongly motivated students, willing to assist scientists and engineers, who are striving to explore and develop strategies to protect and enhance Florida's sensitive natural resources, while also sustaining economically viable and compatible agricultural industry.

Interns will provide research for print articles and perform other duties as needed.

The camp season is 7 weeks long for the campers, June 29th - August 16th, 2009; and the day camp season is June 30th - August 15th, 2009.  The commitment for staff is approximately 8 weeks, June 22nd - August 18th, 2009.  Counselors must attend the staff orientation prior to the campers' arrival and remain at camp after the campers' departure until their responsibilities are completed.

We are looking for a sharp, friendly, and well-organized assistant to manage scheduling and to provide other administrative support.  The candidate must have excellent people and research skills, must be organized, possess multi-tasking abilities and a passion for independent film. 

Although the internship is unpaid, it provides a great potential for advancement, an excellent opportunity to build valuable contacts, learn the independent film business, and grow with the company.

Intern will work on various projects related to the broadcast media field. Some examples of the internship duties would be: media research and updating database, newsletter writing, evaluation submitted media for public broadcast, and other various clerical duties. Applicant must be proficient in Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel. They must also be comfortable writing in english. Furthermore, it is a plus if the applicant be fluent in a second language, other than english. Interns will be needed from anywhere to 15-20 hours per week, for at least three months, or the length of the school semester. Long term positions may be available for qualified interns.
