Position is for a PR Manager of the Trade Division which will include managing clients and small team of publicist on business to business projects for the entertainment industry. Typical clients will include entertainment industry organizations, films & TV shows for unit PR, production & distribution companies and entertainment technology. You will oversee and manage client strategy and activity and have the opportunity to bring in additional clients. You will travel with these clients to service their needs at festivals, markets, conferences and for unit PR.
The position will work closely with the company’s President meeting weekly to review client activity, plan future projects, and develop strategy.

Candidates must possess the following qualities:
•Available to start immediately

•Strong entertainment background

•Excellent media contacts

•Experienced in developing strategy for client
accounts.

•Experienced in strategic media relations
including PR plan development and execution.

•Competent people-manager, ability to develop
junior publicist, engage team members and
encourage positive attitude and work ethic.
Excellent account management skills – including
ability to plan, coordinate/disseminate
information to account team to ensure proper
execution.

•Excellent copywriter

•Minimum of three years of related professional
experience.

•Proactive self-starter who is goal-driven,
highly motivated, and handles pressure and
deadlines with ease.

•College degree in PR, Marketing,
Communications, or related field is preferred

We are a young dynamic PR team with a 20 year company history, committed to training the PR professionals of the future. Our intern program is intensive and challenging. You will assist in various areas of creating/implementing media campaigns - creating press packs, writing press releases, distribution list creation, pitching, events, etc. We have a broad entertainment and business client base, so you will learn various types of PR. Our intern program is our ''mailroom,'' and we're constantly assessing interns who shine and considering them for future positions with our firm. Additional duties include office work and errands, however during the bulk of this internship you will be working one-on-one with our creative PR team. Our interns attend weekly staff meetings, which are a great forum to learn from senior level members of our team and to get opinions/info on general PR topics. As you can see, we give our interns great learning opportunities and lots of guidance. Additionally, we stress accountability; and we insist on high caliber work, a strong level of commitment, and dedication to excellence.
Must be interested in a career in PR, Marketing, Communications, Entertainment, or related field, creative, great communication and writing skills, sharp, hungry, very motivated and proactive, responsible. You must live within 15 miles of our office (90035 zip code), and you must have your own car. Looking for someone to begin approximately end of March, for a time commitment of 3-5 days a week, 8 hours per day. It is a 3-month internship.

The Internship Program, operated by our company, is the premier summer internship Program in the Mid-South for University students looking for internships. Our company not only imparts experience and guidance to help its participants secure a guaranteed internship position within the areas of Marketing, PR, Advertising, Management, Media and Finance, but also provides its proprietary professional development curriculum to put its participants ahead of the hiring curve.
