Description: The task is to inform about our Africa/Brazil volunteering program through web and face-to-face. Since we have organization in the US it is not realistic to have information meeting in other countries even there are some people interested in this program. So basically this is about recruiting. Advertising on web, papers, making presentation, telling about the programs to people in your country to get them involved in IICD and let them make an action for world poverty.

The Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) offers full-time summer, and part-time fall and spring internships each academic semester. Qualified candidates will be highly motivated and energetic self-starters. Interns will assist individual projects and departments in several capacities and should be enthusiastic about working on a variety of tasks. Candidates must be team players and express an interest in one of the BPC’s various policy projects or functional areas: • National Security Project (foreign affairs/homeland security) • Energy Project • Health Project/Nutrition Initiative • Debt Reduction Task Force • Financial Regulatory Reform Initiative • Housing Commission • Democracy Project • Communications • Development • Government Relations Fall & Spring Programs During the fall and spring semesters, internships are part-time and unpaid and applicants must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program. The fall and spring internship programs at the BPC are flexible, allowing students to gain valuable experience while maintaining their regular class schedules. Interns will provide functional support, conduct research, and work directly with project analysts and staff in various capacities. Summer Program BPC has a robust summer internship program. Summer interns are paid $12.50/hour for up to 10 weeks of work (cap of $5000). Interns work full time and are assigned to a specific BPC project or functional area. Interns provide administrative support, assist with events and meetings, conduct research and assist with the development and writing of reports, white papers and proposals. While interns work closely with their project teams, there are also opportunities to learn from and be exposed to the wide range of issues addressed by the organization. The program includes weekly lunches with project directors, senior fellows and other senior members of the organization to discuss policy, politics and career paths. *********Children’s Services has a Residential Treatment Facility (RTF) and Residential Treatment Center (RTC) on our main campus in Brewster, New York.  The children in our care are ages 6-21 and are from throughout the New York State area.  The children in the RTC have experienced significant emotional, behavioral and academic difficulties and the children in the RTF have demonstrated serious and persistent psychopathology but do not require current inpatient psychiatric hospitalization.

All our treatment programs are committed to the utilization of the natural environment, including therapeutic farm and wildlife program.  We employ a diverse workforce of 500 and we are one of the largest employers in Putnam County, New York.  We are internationally known for our methods and there is a great deal of interest from Europeans, South American and Japanese child care professionals to obtain this specialized experience at our facility.

During your traineeship in our Residential Treatment Center/Facility you will develop skills in care provision, creation of recreation activities, crisis intervention, documentation skills, and instructing adolescents in life skills.

Degree in child development, social work, psychology or related field.  Experience working in the field of child welfare can be substituted for education.
