Interns work directly with Assistants and Junior Publicists on a variety of projects such as compiling media lists and press kits, making pitch calls and learning how to write a press release as well as dubbing reels, faxing, photocopying, and other office duties.
Great opportunity for hands-on experience. Seeking committed interns that are interested in learning about what goes into publicity in the entertainment industry.

Print/Journalism/Broadcast TV Internship
Location: New York
New York-based film production company, currently looking for summer interns. The internship will consist of script/book reading, research, covering phones, helping with general office administration and errands. Interns will have the chance to develop skills in script/book reading and analysis, including writing notes and coverage. In addition, interns will work on post-production tasks for latest films as well as pre-production tasks for upcoming films.
Current students with office experience preferred. Must have good sense of humor (i.e. take jokes well; discern sarcasm from regular conversation), strong knowledge of internet and basic computer programs (i.e. Word, Excel); must love movies; should have a decent grasp of the entertainment industry (i.e. who’s dating whom); must be available at least 2-3 days a week (M-F).

Broadcast TV Internship

Serves as an exclusive representative for International film distribution companies in the following five territories: Italy, France, Benelux, Scandinavia and Switzerland. In the upcoming months, the company will prepare for the Cannes Film Festival, researching all relevant art-house films that will premiere at the festival and satisfy our clients’ needs. Our recent acquisitions include Million Dollar Baby, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Sea Inside, Motorcycle Diaries, Stage Beauty, Brokeback Mountain and In Good Company.
DISTRIBUTION INTERN:

• Update Address, film and script databases.
• Maintain “up and coming” film and directors list.
• Create Lineup for Cannes Film Festival, including all pertinent information about potential buys.
• Read and cover scripts from a distribution perspective.
• Perform general office tasks.

The internship requires at least 10 hrs. a week, but hours are flexible. The position is non-paid. Must be familiar with Mac computer systems and any additional computer knowledge is always a plus. Film background is preferred. Must have excellent reading and writing skills, as there will be a significant amount of coverage to complete.

Must have sense of humor. If you are boring, please do not apply.
We are looking to hire March 15th – April 1st. Must be available until end of May. Possibility to cover office throughout festival.

SEEKING INTERNS
 Intern duties include:

• registering new talent
• assisting at open calls
• answering telephones
• calling talent to check their availability for our current projects, etc.

 it’s a great opportunity to learn about the world of casting and the film and television industry and if you are a student you may be able to get credit through your school. Film and communications majors are greatly encouraged. Production experience is a plus, but not necessary.
This is not your typical office environment, the pace is extremely fast. We are only looking for interns that are sincerely interested in learning about the casting process, NOT actors who want to be cast in these projects. Interns with flexible schedules are desired to work early mornings, late nights, and weekends.

Requirements:

- Willingness to work early mornings, late nights, and weekends at least 2 days per week in six hour shifts (minimum 12hrs/week)
- Ability to multi-task in high pressure situations
- Basic computer, internet skills
- Great communication and phones skills
- Reliable, Responsible, Positive Attitude, High Energy, Team Player
- Minimum of 18 years old
